Greater Adirondack Perinatal Network Educational Programs:
Since its establishment in 1991, educational programming for area
health and human service providers has been a priority area for Greater
Adirondack Perinatal Network. Programs are held in large and small towns
in nearly every corner of the Adirondacks. Larger conferences are held
at centrally located venues while smaller “networking sessions” are Free "brown bag learning lunches" with mini informational program. Drinks and dessert provided.
. Presenters include local, regional and national experts in
their field. Attendees include nurses, midwives, dental providers,
social workers, physicians, mental health providers and childbirth
educators. Opportunities for networking and the sharing of best (local)
perinatal practices are an important part of most programs
Exact dates and times will be updated on our web
site, published in our newsletters and program

Preparing Families for Flu Season: Premature Infants- Mom and Dad,
3:15 to 4:30 pm
Location:
The Warren County Municipal Center, Meeting Room: # 6-103
The 2009-10 flu season taught us important lessons about preparation,
vulnerable populations and about the importance of widespread
immunization. Also of
concern is the vulnerability of premature infants to complications from
Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV).
Whether you work in Public Health, a Head Start program or in a
pediatric or obstetrical setting, please join us for a discussion of how
best to prepare families for the upcoming flu season with Arlene
Jacobson, RN, BSN. Light refreshments will be served. The
session is free of charge, but we ask that you register with Jackie
Avignon at:
javignon@medserv.net
or 518-761-0300, Ext. 31250.
